Duties
- You will perform inspections and maintenance on shipboard and shore-based catapult, arresting gear and visual landing aids.
- You will disassemble, repair, inspect, adjust, align, and installs water brake cylinders, covers, launch and exhaust valves, operates cylinder gap test equipment, assists in dead-load testing of catapults and retract engine as relating to catapults.
- You will disassemble, repair, adjusts, aligns, install sheave nests, crossheads, accumulators CRO valves / drive sys, anchor / sheave dampers, fairlead sys, wire supt. assemblies, barricade sys, retractable sheave assemblies in aircraft arresting sys.
- You will installs service changes, repairs and aligns pumps, performs hydrostatic tests on valves, hydraulic cylinders, heat exchangers and pneumatic components.
- You will perform test operations on machinery and alters equipment to provide access or permit observation during tests or experiments.
- You will utilize various portable machine tools and grinders; uses precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges, height gauges, and various types of micrometers laser for catapult alignment and Theodolite.
- You will perform and assists with various jobs on engines, lathes, milling machines, drill press, boring mills and other machinery associated with inside machine shop work and equipment.

You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
