Position Overview :
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-visibility Public Safety initiatives supporting Police, Fire, 911, and Corrections. You'll own end-to-end delivery-from planning and execution through testing and acceptance-while aligning with organizational objectives, timelines, and budgets. The ideal candidate has PMP credentials, strong Waterfall / Agile delivery experience, and hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project / Project Server, SharePoint, and SDLC documentation. You'll partner with executive and operational stakeholders to manage schedules, control scope and costs, mitigate risks, and communicate progress clearly across the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead multiple Public Safety technology projects and keep them aligned with organizational goals.
Manage day-to-day project activities : track progress, flag issues / risks early, and drive practical mitigation.
Control scope, requirements, schedule, and budget to deliver on time and within cost.
Build and manage timelines, critical paths, milestones, testing phases, and acceptance criteria.
Recommend process and technical improvements that boost efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance performance.
Monitor and resolve issues; deliver timely, accurate status reports for stakeholders.
Create clear communications-documents, reports, and presentations-for executive and project audiences.
Plan and facilitate effective meetings, including agendas and handouts, to keep teams coordinated.
Qualifications
7+ years leading large, high-profile, and sensitive initiatives as a Project Manager.
Direct experience with Public Safety IT (Police, Fire, 911, Corrections).
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Active PMP (PMI).
Proven success delivering business process changes plus software / hardware implementations and upgrades using Waterfall and / or Agile.
Strong PMI-aligned documentation skills and SDLC deliverable management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word; experience with Project Server and SharePoint.
Skilled in executive-level presentations and communications; excellent written and verbal skills.
Outstanding organization, coordination, and time management.
Ability to work onsite Monday Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. 4 : 00 p.m., and successfully complete a comprehensive public-sector background check.
