Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Anchorage, AK (99508)

Healthcare Setting : 14-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Nursing

Start Date : October 20, 2025

End Date : January 19, 2026

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

ICU RN Qualifications

Active Alaska RN license (required for submission)

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Ability to independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors

Preferred : Experience in post-op open heart surgery recovery (12 hours post-op)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients

Assist with advanced procedures : intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, central line insertion

Monitor and manage patient ratios (2 : 1, 1 : 1)

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 8 RNs per shift, including a Charge RN

Utilize Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR for accurate patient documentation

Float to additional units (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, SPCU) as needed

Maintain professional standards and comply with facility policies, including dress code
