Position Overview

High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) is a highly structured, team-based collaborative model with a single accountable care coordinator that adheres to the fidelity of the model, convenes families, providers, family and youth partners, and key members of the family's social support network to build an individualized plan of care that incorporates formal and informal services and supports to meet the unique needs of the Youth and their family. The Maine Center of Excellence (COE) for Innovative Systems and Practice in Behavioral Health aims to increase the capacity and quality of HFW across Maine. PCG serves as the COE provider and seeks to fill the position of High-Fidelity Wraparound Trainer and Coach.

As a High-Fidelity Wraparound Trainer and Coach, you will train, provide technical assistance and coaching to support the implementation of High-Fidelity Wraparound in Maine. Your work will contribute to the professional development of care coordinators, supervisors, and leaders, enhancing skills in delivering Wraparound and improving outcomes for families with children with intensive behavioral health needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all training and coaching provided by the National Wraparound Implementation Center (NWIC), and any other required training identified by the State of Maine and / or PCG.
  • Complete NWIC certification and maintain certification; attend ongoing training within required timeframes.
  • Support the installation of Wraparound through coaching and training for implementing workforce.
  • Understand the roles in the Wraparound workforce, System of Care (SOC) agencies and community resources in meeting the needs of children, youth and families.
  • Communicate regularly, in person or virtually, with implementing organizations and the implementation team.
  • Provide coaching in the field and accompany Care Coordinators while they work with youth and families.
  • Utilize data to inform decision making in types of technical assistance deemed most helpful.
  • Employ a variety of adult learning concepts to engage participants with varying learning needs.
  • Gather information from multiple sources to understand the needs and strengths of the current workforce and make recommendations to the COE staff on how the system can better support the workforce.
  • Network and build relationships with state and organizational leadership to foster partnerships for successful implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training using established evaluation measures and apply findings to improve skills.
  • Utilize NWIC tools to provide coaching support to care coordinators.
  • Monitor quality of practice and use coaching feedback to support implementation integrity.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills

  • Capacity to exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and sound judgment with the ability to solve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; concise writing and presentation; ability to interpret written information and listen to verbal and non-verbal cues.
  • Excellent training and group facilitation skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and crisis management skills through communication, active listening, empathy, problem solving, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, maintaining professional, ethical, respectful, and courteous behavior with diverse audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking to assess approaches to problems and help trainees develop these skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex topics, policies, and procedures to prepare detailed summaries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and related software (e.g., Adobe, Teams, Zoom).
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Required : Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human development, education, public / business administration, communications, or discipline appropriate to training being conducted.
  • Preferred : Master's degree in same fields.
  • Experience

  • Required : Four (4) years of related experience including two (2) years providing coaching and workforce development activities.
  • Preferred : Experience in Wraparound; 3 years' experience providing coaching and workforce development activities.
  • Certification

  • Certification will occur during the course of employment
  • Working Conditions

  • Travel time is approximately 50 percent.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel throughout the State of Maine to conduct observations and provide support to care coordinators in family homes and / or community settings.
  • The position will allow for a remote workplace with flexible hours, including some evening / weekend availability based on provider and family needs; overnight travel may be required depending on training schedule.

    Compensation

  • $52,800 to $70,000
  • Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. PCG provides benefits including medical and dental care, 401k, PTO, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
