POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry into the company's computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing, the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area, and archiving specimens after testing. This position reports to Specimen Processing Supervisor, and takes direction from Senior Specimen Preparation Technicians, and Specimen Preparation Coordinators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum age requirement of 18.
• Good reading, writing and math abilities are required.
• Oral and written communication skills sufficient to understand written and spoken instructions in English.
• Good organization skills are also required.
• Must meet all training competency qualifications for Specimen Preparation Technician within six months of hire.
