Scheduling Coordinator - Reproductive Imaging Center
Baptist Health Louisville is seeking to hire a full time Scheduling Coordinator for our MFM Clinic. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and diagnostic procedures, including follow-ups, physician consultations, and hospital-based tests. This role ensures all necessary registration, insurance information, referrals, and pre-certifications are obtained. The coordinator confirms appointments, maintains hospital referrals, and faxes medical documentation as needed. They also verify the accuracy of provider schedules within the electronic system.
Key responsibilities include effective communication, such as professionally handling phone calls, relaying messages accurately, and managing secure chats in EPIC. The coordinator demonstrates accountability by accurately scheduling across multiple settings, verifying patient demographics and insurance requirements, and maintaining up-to-date provider schedules. Proficiency in hospital systems is essential, including managing orders, tracking exams, and accessing patient records. The role also requires strong administrative skills, independent problem-solving, and critical thinking. Additional duties include supporting general office operations and escalating concerns to the Practice Manager when necessary.
