The Operations Manager ensures that team members have all the necessary equipment, resources, licensing / credentials, and training to complete their patient care and assigned transports in a proper and efficient manner that exceeds our contractual and customer service standards, and that crews and vehicles are compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. The Operations Manager, will either directly or indirectly, be responsible for all EVO appearance, EVO readiness, EVO discipline, EVO driving behavior, and EVO scheduling, EVO moral, and office cleanliness and readiness. The role of Operations Manager requires the incumbent to be strong in interpersonal communications, ability to be a mentor, and supervisor to the employees.Role and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members through communicating company and department initiatives, addressing, and resolving concerns, and providing all tools and resources needed to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
- Motivate, mentor, and coach your team to ensure customer service, safety, and compliance standards are met. Effectively address issues or concerns promptly and use critical thinking skills to remove barriers or obstacles to achieving company goals.
- Maintain office’s payroll budget to ensure six weeks of scheduling is posted at all times. Review and resolve timecard discrepancies daily and submit payroll weekly.
- Address gaps in scheduling immediately and work with the entire management team to use any and all available resource to resolve schedule gaps. Managers and supervisors should be prepared to fill open shifts or gaps in coverage if needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional office environment that ensures accountability and organization of equipment and supplies.
- Ensure vehicles are compliant with DC DOH, and state motor vehicle requirements and laws.
- Routinely inspect vehicles for proper supplies, mechanical issues, registration, licensing, fuel, and insurance cards, Samsara systems, and cleanliness.
- Prepare vehicles for inspection.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment assigned to your office are operationally ready at all times, assigned, used, and stored appropriately.
- Communicate any problems or out of service items appropriately and coordinate the repair / replacement promptly.
- Respond, investigate, and determine the root cause of vehicle accidents, employee injuries or other liability concerns to reduce and eliminate hazardous work conditions and reduce total company liabilities.
- Attend regular employee and management meetings held for Department of Transport Medicine.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating practices, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1-2 years of leadership experience.Graduation From High School or equivalent.Must be at least 19 years old at time of hire for insurance purposes.Successful completion of NREMT certification.Current NREMT, MD, and DC EMT (or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire).Valid driver’s license.ALS Driving Endorsement within 30 days of hire.Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within six (6) months of hire.STABLE Certification within six (6) months of hire.Geriatric Emergency Patient Care Class within six (6) months of hire.Ability to drive company vehicles with a clean driving record.Successful completion of a state sponsored EVOS course or ability to obtain in 30 days.Current AHA BLS CPR or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire.Ability to provide quality patient care within scope of practice.Knowledge of all state protocols for an EMT.Availability for recall in times of crisis.Ability to pass a lift test of 150 – 200 pounds.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.Ability to pass CNH onboarding requirements.Ability to speak and write English.PREFERRED SKILLS
