Job Summary
Docs Diesel is seeking a performance-driven Creative Strategist to own and elevate the brands visual identity across every customer touchpoint. This role blends creativity with data developing content that not only looks great but performs. Youll lead creative direction, oversee production, and collaborate closely with our Head of Growth to drive measurable growth through high-impact design and storytelling.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced eCommerce environment, understands what makes digital creative convert, and isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves to bring ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
Performance-Driven Creativity (Non-Negotiable)
- Partner with performance marketing to design and test high-performing ad creatives (video, static, UGC, motion graphics).
- Research and analyze competitor ads, creative trends, and hooks across digital platforms.
- Continuously iterate and optimize based on data CTR, ROAS, conversions, and engagement metrics.
- Balance bold creativity with a data-first, growth-oriented mindset.
Brand & Creative Direction
Own the look, feel, and voice of the brand across ads, email, and socialDevelop creative concepts for product launches, campaigns, and evergreen marketing.Ensure all creative aligns with brand positioning and business goals.Execution & Hands-On Production
Jump into creative tools for quick edits, mockups, and variations when needed.Direct and oversee photo / video shoots, agencies, and freelancers.Maintain high quality and speed under tight deadlines.Team Leadership & Collaboration
Manage and mentor designers, editors, and freelance partners providing clear briefs and constructive feedback.Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and product teams to align creative with launches and promotions.Build and maintain a scalable creative workflow to support company growth.Innovation & AI Tools
Stay ahead of social, design, and cultural trends to keep the brand fresh.Leverage AI tools to ideate, edit, and accelerate creative production.Explore new content formats and emerging platforms to expand reach and engagement.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in creative direction, brand design, or marketingeCommerce retail brand experience is mandatoryAuto parts / automotive industry experience & enthusiasm preferredProven track record of developing creative that drives measurable performanceProficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and / or video editing toolsStrong understanding of digital advertising, paid social, and performance metricsExperience managing a small creative team or freelancersExcellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skillsMindset that aligns with Docs Diesel core valuesWhat We Offer / Benefits
