2026 Summer Internship Program - US Investing

Sixth Street's Summer Internship program is an opportunity for rising seniors to learn how to be a fundamental investor at a fast-paced, top-tier global investment Firm. Our firm is designed for cross-platform collaboration at scale : we build businesses, invest for growth, acquire assets, provide direct financing, identify value in public markets, purchase royalty streams, and regularly develop first-of-their-kind structures to meet the strategic objectives of management teams.

Overview of Program :

• Participate in a 10-week internship program designed to give you a robust understanding of Sixth Street's investing strategies
• Acquire extensive training and develop your understanding of financial products, underwriting, modeling, and accounting
• Obtain hands-on, meaningful, and substantive work experience in a small class that is representative of our Analyst Program
• Gain investing acumen across geographies and asset classes (debt and equity)
• Perform in-depth industry research to support our investment evaluation process
• Get exposure to senior management and a network of alternative asset management industry leaders
• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, including in-depth analysis on companies and industries (detailed valuation and financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, DCF analysis, and comparable analysis)
• Develop and maintain financial models (Excel), forecasting and analyzing cash flow, capital structure, acquisition / disposition strategy, for existing assets and new investments
• Prepare investment memoranda to support financial analysis, analyze market conditions (macro and micro), and outline strategy and investment returns

Asset Based Finance New York

Sixth Street Asset Based Finance focuses on asset / platform investing and origination across finance markets, including commercial and residential mortgages, renewables and energy finance, consumer asset classes, infrastructure debt, transportation, and commercial equipment. Our Asset Based Finance business works closely with the Firm's Insurance platform, including Talcott Financial Group. Asset Based Finance is a key driver of our capabilities as a strategic capital partner to companies and management teams and a solutions provider at scale.

Credit Market Strategies (CMS) New York

The Sixth Street Credit Market Strategies (CMS) loan analyst team invests in the broadly syndicated leveraged loan market through a variety of investment structures, including CLO securitization vehicles and separately managed accounts. The team underwrites leveraged finance issuers across sectors with analysts developing sector-level expertise, and actively manages its investment vehicles to drive returns for its investors. The loan team works closely with its Structured Credit counterparts to provide comprehensive investment options across leveraged credit.

Direct Lending Austin

Sixth Street Direct Lending creates flexible, fully committed investments in large-cap and middle-market businesses. We focus on directly originated thematic investments with dedicated teams across both North America and Europe. Our ability to solve for complexity enables us to deliver certainty and provide long-term capital solutions to the companies and management teams with which we partner.

Growth Austin / San Francisco

Sixth Street Growth is the Firm's dedicated platform for making private investments in growth-oriented companies. The Sixth Street Growth team partners with companies and management teams to provide bespoke, accretive financing solutions that often fall between traditional growth equity and commercial debt. Select current and past representative Sixth Street Growth investments include Airbnb, AirTrunk, AvidXchange, Gainsight, Kaseya, MasterControl, Paycor, PayScale, PaySimple and Spotify.

Real Estate - New York / San Francisco

Sixth Street's Real Estate team is a global property investor and solutions provider across the full range of real estate asset classes : residential, hospitality, office, industrial, and retail as well as niche asset classes. We invest across the capital stack in real estate and sector-related operating businesses. We have deep experience investing in and financing both existing and development assets.

Structured Credit New York

Sixth Street's Structured Credit team invests across both public and private corporate credit securitizations and structured transactions. The team looks at investments up and down the capital structure and across the risk-return spectrum. A large part of the team's activities are focused on the global CLO market. The team works closely with its counterparts in the CMS leveraged loans group, as well as adjacent Sixth Street business units including the Firm's Insurance platform, Asset-Backed Finance, Direct Lending and Fundamental Strategies businesses.

Compensation

The annualized base pay for this position is expected to fall between $95,000 - $110,000 and will be prorated based on the duration of the Summer Internship program. The annualized base pay offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate's relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by Sixth Street in its sole discretion. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation : Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
