Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Tullahoma, TN 37388 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend / Holiday Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holidays as needed

Scrubs Provided

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2,030 - $2,180

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Prior travel nursing experience required

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification (or equivalent)

Experience with OB / GYN, Mother Baby, Antepartum, and Postpartum care

Experience circulating Cesarean Sections; scrubbing / assisting experience is a plus

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns

Circulate for Cesarean Sections and assist surgical teams as needed

Provide couplet care and manage antepartum patients

Care for post-op GYN patients and those over 20 weeks gestation

Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios (1 : 1 for active labor, 1 : 2 for early labor, 1 : 6 for moms or well babies)

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Adhere to hospital policies, documentation standards, and patient safety protocols
