Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in Abilene, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support a welcoming customer experience while documenting activity and partnering with site teams. This role requires Texas Level III Armed Certification and reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, as directed by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire or weather alarms, and notify site management and emergency services as needed.
• Control access and monitor activity at designated points, helping to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and assist with loss prevention-related support and/or customer escorts when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
