American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1.5-2 years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience, ARRT certification, and travel experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab specializing in diagnostic and interventional cardiology and endovascular peripheral interventionsAdult patient population with cases including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, laser-assisted procedures, and peripheral angiographySiemens equipment and Cerner EMR are used; Cerner experience preferred4x10 hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM or 5x8 hour shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM as neededOn call required : one weekday per week and one weekend every 4-6 weeks, including holidaysTravelers may be required to float within scope as neededPerform high-technology endovascular procedures under physician direction for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular diseaseResponsibilities include monitoring patient hemodynamics, documenting during procedures, scrubbing to assist physicians, and preparing access sitesMust maintain licensure and education requirements, attend mandatory meetings, and complete competency assessmentsScrubs are provided by the facilityOrientation is held every other Thursday and includes required modules to be completed pre-startPermanent employees must wait 2 years after last date worked to be eligible as a travelerApplicants must live at least 100 miles from the facility (75-100 mile exceptions considered case-by-case)Current employees of the related health system or subsidiaries are not eligible for travel contracts at this facility\n \n Requirements\n
Graduation from an approved School of Radiologic TechnologyMinimum of 1.5-2 years experience in a diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional proceduresTravel healthcare experience requiredCurrent ARRT certification R.T.(R) required; ARRT CI certification preferredCurrent BLS and ACLS required (American Heart Association if specified by unit)WV Medical Imaging License required (license required if applicable); may submit with license pending but must post prior to startPhysical ability to frequently lift / carry up to 25 lbs, maximum 50 lbsStrong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, vascular closure systems, scrub / circulating, and operating Siemens equipmentTwo manager or charge references from within the past two years required for consideration\n Benefits\n
