The Procurement Lead; Medicaid generates and implements efficient sourcing and category management strategies. Manages the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending. The Procurement Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Procurement Lead; Medicaid complies with federal and state regulatory guidelines. Reconciles purchases with invoices from suppliers, validates pricing and contract compliance. Monitors performance through oversight documentation through supplier negotiations and promotional opportunities. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and explains procurement and supplier management and oversight processes to Medicaid markets and business areas contacts
  • Supports third party documentation for new market RFPs and / or procurements strategies.
  • Facilitate market specific oversight meetings (ex : Joint Operations Committee [JOC] meetings).
  • Responsible for state specific unique requirements and audit support pertaining to third party oversight (ex : readiness audits, post contract audits, contract copy requests)
  • Responsible for ensuring completion of all subcontractor performance monitoring reports.
  • Responsible for state specific subcontractor reporting
  • Team representative and presenter for various Medicaid committee meetings (ex; operations, quality, etc.).
  • Support pilot and proof of concept contracts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 or more years of procurement, relationship / supplier management, or process improvement experience
  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience
  • Experience with internal and external audits
  • Demonstrated experience with coordinating Market / Supplier meetings and presentations
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP

  • Travel : While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
  • Pay Range : $104,000 - $143,000 per year
