In this pivotal role, you will take charge of procuring specialized equipment, components, and systems essential for high-rise buildings, their operating systems, and other critical infrastructures. This includes construction of unique facilities, management of information technology systems, professional or technical services, and a variety of supplies.

Qualifications for GS-12 & below :
BASIC REQUIREMENTS : A 4-year degree with a major in any field; or at least 24 semester hours in fields like accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : You must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level of the position. For GS-11 : Experience developing solicitations, evaluating offers, negotiating contracts, or administering various supplies or services contracts. For GS-12 : Experience planning and executing pre-award and / or post-award contract assignments and a thorough understanding of regulations and procedures.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
If you lack the specialized experience, graduate education in specified fields may qualify you.
Qualifications for GS-13 & higher :
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
In addition to basic requirements, specialized experience is necessary. For GS-13 : Experience conducting full-range contracting activities for complex products or services. For GS-14 and GS-15, experience in leading contracting programs and ensuring compliance in procurement operations.
