About The Position

Wellhart is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Oklahoma. This 60-day assignment at a hospital begins on 11 / 24 / 2025, offering a 40-hour weekly schedule with day shifts from 6 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm on weekdays. The CRNA will provide general anesthesia for a high volume and diverse range of cases, including many ASA 3 & 4 level patients. Responsibilities include managing complex procedures in neurology, GI, and Cath Lab, collaborating with residents and other CRNAs, and working under MD supervision in a 3 : 1 or 4 : 1 ratio. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a variety of cases and acuities, handling cases in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule : 40 hours weekly, 6 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm, weekdays (10-hour shifts, some 12-hour shifts available)

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Administer general anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures
  • Manage high-acuity patients, particularly ASA 3 & 4 level cases
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
  • Monitor and maintain patient stability during procedures
  • Collaborate with residents, CRNAs, and supervising MDs
  • Handle cases in neurology, GI, and Cath Lab
  • Adapt to a high-volume environment
  • Utilize Epic electronic health record system
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work assignments and schedules

Additional Information :

  • Oklahoma state license required
  • Minimum of 2 weeks per month availability preferred
  • Experience with high-acuity cases and diverse procedures essential
  • Reliable transportation required for potential travel between facilities
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including potential 24 / 7, weekend, and holiday shifts if needed
