About the Role

Information Technology Interns at Caterpillar perform the same challenging work assignments as our new full-time hires. We work with our teams to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in a corporate environment. This position is a great way to gain hands-on experience by supporting IT operations at a world-leading manufacturing company.

What You Will Do

You’ll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees. The internship is a 40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks. You can focus on building professional abilities in roles including (but not limited to) :

• Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions.
• Support IT team with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document business requirements.
• Participate in the maintenance and upgrade of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and provide recommendations.
• Help in the creation of technical documentation and user guides.
• Perform data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making.
