Electronics Technician

Job Summary

The Electronic Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electronic systems and equipment in a timely and accurate manner in support of client's operational goals. This role requires hands-on technical work, strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to interpret schematics / manuals, and ensuring that all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and modules.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment.
• Install new equipment and components according to technical drawings, manufacturer's instructions, and safety standards.
• Inspect, test, and repair wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, switches, displays, and other electronic subassemblies.
• Read, interpret, and work from circuit diagrams, blueprints, service manuals, and schematics.
• Use test instruments (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies) to diagnose issues.
• Solder and de-solder components, both surface mount and through-hole, as required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, maintenance performed, and report progress or roadblocks to lead / supervisor.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve recurring problems, suggest improvements, and support product testing.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection, proper handling of hazardous materials, lockout / tagout procedures, etc.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, components, and tools; order replacements when needed.
