Sentara Health is hiring a Data Reporting Associate for Sentara Leigh Hospital!

Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM / 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM

Overview

The Data Reporting Associate supports operational decision-making by preparing spreadsheets, reports, lists, and matrices for use across the department. This role involves analyzing and reviewing confidential statistical data for accuracy, supporting both clinical and procedural teams (including surgical areas), and creating reports that are used by executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience working with clinical data, and proficiency in Excel and Epic Clarity reporting. They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and may also present insights to small groups to drive efficiency and performance across the department.

Education

High School Diploma (Required)

Certification / Licensure

No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience

Experience generating ad hoc reports, block utilization reports, and strategic data summaries

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formatting, etc.)

Familiarity with Epic Clarity Reporting and healthcare-related data systems

Strong attention to detail when working with sensitive, confidential information

Experience supporting clinical, procedural, or surgical environments preferred

Sentara Leigh Hospital , located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. Sentara Leigh Hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. Along with being a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, we also specialize in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery. We are also home to the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won't heal, infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen, airborne chemical exposures, and scuba diving accidents.
