Woven Oak Initiatives

We are a nonprofit seeking to weave community in Norwood by providing relational social services, connecting with marginalized residents, fostering collaboration among nonprofits and churches, and incubating local nonprofit initiatives.

Norwood Connection

Norwood Connection's mission is to assist families classified as working poor who are under stress and who have children in the Norwood City Schools. It was started and continues to be run by Christian and Randi Ziegler. We work with school counselors and social workers to identify those families that need help.

The Food Pantry

Our community has within it people who are struggling to pay bills and keep food on their tables. It is not uncommon to meet some of our neighbors who may be choosing between the two. The Food Pantry believes that no one should go hungry, and we want to be part of the solution to keep shelves stocked with food for those who are in need.

Baby Bear

Baby Bear celebrates life and aims to provide parents, grandparents, and other guardians of Norwood children, from newborn to 5 years old, the resources they need for their children to grow up in a productive, healthy, and safe environment.

About Us

We are a community center with programs spread across the city of Norwood. Our focus is weaving human connections through our initiatives which provide basic needs to the people of our community. We have also helped incubate and nurture new nonprofit ventures like ASAP Norwood and Norwood Together.
