About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years experience required, preferably in trauma or surgical settings.

License : Valid state nursing license required. Pending licenses may be accepted.

Certifications : BLS and ACLS preferred but not required.

Must-Have : Epic experience.

Description :

Clinical review and auto offer for a 26-bed acute care unit.

The unit serves a diverse patient population.

Primarily comprised of post-surgical and trauma patients.

Post-surgical patients account for 90% of the unit.

The remaining 10% have medical diagnoses.

All rooms are equipped for cardiac monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry.

Telemetry monitoring is also available.

Night shift with a minimum requirement of working every other weekend.

Two out of three winter holidays must be worked.

Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.

Approval for time off is limited to 40 hours.

Must adhere to float policy as necessary.

Candidates may float to other acute care units.

Patient ratio experience is required, typically 4 : 1 or occasionally 5 : 1.

Additional support includes nursing assistants, unit secretaries, and clinical specialists.

The unit has established interdisciplinary support systems.

Wound care teams and phlebotomy services are available.

Quick response teams are on standby for emergencies.

Modules may be required upon orientation.

Collaboration with physical therapy and respiratory services is integral.

Wound management expertise and procedural skills are beneficial.

Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily census typically averages around 22 patients.
