Job description

Join Us in Changing Lives! This role requires dialysis experience and a CCHT certification.

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Working in tandem with a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will be instrumental in supporting patients with renal failure.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Patient Care : Interact directly with patients to deliver safe and comforting dialysis treatment. This includes monitoring vital signs, initiating and terminating treatments, and collecting blood samples as directed by the physician.
  • Technical Duties : Prepare and maintain dialysis machines, ensuring they are properly disinfected and checked for safety following all established protocols.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance : Implement safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment. You’ll be expected to follow all company policies and adhere to state and federal regulations and participate in mandatory meetings and educational sessions.

What We Seek : This position requires dialysis experience and a CCHT certification.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for healthcare and patient care.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.
  • Comfortable with mixing dialysis solutions according to established guidelines.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

    • Additional Requirements :

  • Successful completion of the USRC training program, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.
  • CPR certification must be completed within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.
  • Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire and maintained in compliance with state requirements.
