Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal design and electrical switchgear, along with strong proficiency in CAD tools, preferably SolidEdge. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bristol, VA, with a project duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and modify mechanical components and assemblies, particularly sheet metal structures.

Work on electrical switchgear design and integration with mechanical systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and project requirements.

Prepare detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve functionality and manufacturability.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues as they arise during the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

3-5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.

Strong experience in sheet metal design .

Hands-on experience with electrical switchgear .

Proficiency in SolidEdge is preferred. Experience in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor is acceptable.

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
