About The Position

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 36-week locum tenens assignment in New Jersey, starting Jan 5, 2026. Join a tertiary care center with a flexible schedule including 12- and 8-hour shifts across days, mids, nights, and weekends in a high-acuity emergency department.

Schedule : Day 7a-7p, Mid 10a-10p, Night 5p-5a, Weekends 8a-8p and 2p-2a; option for 12x12 or 144 hours monthly

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide emergency care for adult and geriatric patients in an emergency department

Perform all lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, chest tube insertion, arterial and central line placement

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and utilize robust specialist backup

Participate in care at an academic center with access to university-affiliated specialists

Document patient care using the Epic EMR system

Additional Information

Trauma experience highly preferred due to acuity, volume, and setting

Must hold an active GA license

Ongoing contract pool with 13-week minimum commitment and potential for extension
