Job : Material Handler
Shift : Days 6 : 00AM-6 : 30PM 223 Rotating Shift.
Location : Royal Canin (Fremont NE)
Royal Canin is seeking a Material Handler to join our exciting pet food business at a Fremont NE manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Our obsession with detail allows us to deliver precise effective nutrition and help them become their magnificent best.

The role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. This role will operate / change over specified machinery in the assigned area. Shipping Operators must ensure efficiency operational conformance product quality and continuous improvement. Shipping Operators must have the skill set to train and / or perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This job requires strong communication interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times
- Perform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage
- Provide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
- Assist in other production sanitation maintenance and quality activity in other areas as directed
- Perform housekeeping and sanitation procedures
- Provide functional communication with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality efficiency productivity and safety
- Loading trucks live loads and staged loads
- Ability to operate Fork lift (Expert Level)
- Direct ship responsibility including proper disposition of hold product food safety hold product and released product
- WMS BOL responsibility / accountability
- Support Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with shipping department
Physical / Environmental Requirements
Job Qualifications :
Knowledge / Experience :
Forklift certified
Knowledge of inventory computer systems WMS
Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
