We are seeking an experienced, licensed insurance professional with a strong background in commercial insurance sales to serve as our Insurance Sales Coordinator. This role is essential in supporting and mentoring our internal sales team ensuring agents are effectively quoting, following up, and closing business. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience selling and quoting commercial lines policies such as General Liability, Workers Compensation, BOPs, and Commercial Auto, and understands how to navigate both admitted and surplus lines markets. This person will play a key role in helping agents strengthen their pipelines, improve close ratios, and reach production goals. We provide consistent leads and a base + commission + bonus pay structure to help you grow your income while focusing on sales success.

Responsibilities
- Sales Oversight & Coaching : Support and guide sales agents by helping them prioritize leads, overcome quoting challenges, and understand coverage nuances.
- Commercial Lines Expertise : Use your in-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and underwriting to ensure quotes are accurate, competitive, and properly structured.
- Monitor Quote Activity : Track open quotes, renewals, and submissions to ensure consistent follow-up and progress through the sales cycle.
- Pipeline Management : Identify stalled or lost opportunities and work with agents to re-engage prospects or refine strategies for success.
- Sales Reporting & Dashboards : Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track agent productivity, quote volume, close ratios, and revenue trends.
- System Oversight : Ensure that all quoting, documentation, and communication are recorded in the agency management system (e.g., IMS) and CRM tools.
- Collaboration : Liaise with underwriting and service teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure complete, timely submissions.
- Lead Management : Help qualify leads and ensure agents have a steady flow of quality opportunities to pursue.
- Process Improvement : Evaluate sales workflows and recommend improvements to boost efficiency, accountability, and conversion rates.
- Training & Development : Assist with onboarding and continuous training of sales agents to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and adherence to agency standards.
Requirements
Active Property & Casualty License (Required)3+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales (agency experience strongly preferred)Deep understanding of Workers Comp, General Liability, BOPs, Commercial Auto, and UmbrellaFamiliarity with both admitted and surplus lines marketsExperience with agency management systems (IMS preferred) and CRM platformsStrong reporting and Excel / Google Sheets skillsExcellent communication, organization, and leadership abilitiesAbility to train, coach, and motivate sales agentsSelf-starter with a results-oriented mindset and attention to detail
