Customer Service Specialist – Medical Equipment Services

📍 Location : Fully On-Site – Face-to-Face Customer Service

🕒 Core Hours : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (1-hour lunch)

📞 On-Call Rotation : Once every 6 weeks (Saturday & Sunday, 9 AM–9 PM) | Once hired direct

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This role involves direct interaction with patients, physicians, and insurance providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical equipment and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and empathy
• Create and manage patient orders based on physician referrals
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and insurance coverage
• Verify insurance eligibility, co-pays, deductibles, and obtain pre-authorizations
• Navigate multiple EMR systems to retrieve and input documentation
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding insurance trends and patient needs
• Resolve customer concerns and provide solutions with compassion
• Meet performance metrics including quality assurance and responsiveness

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 / hr.
