ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE

The Dentist works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare (NHC) by providing dental services to patients. This role will perform dental procedures and services to patients based on initial dental assessment and plans. In addition, this role will impart health education information and techniques to patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Patient Care

• Develops and implements individualized dental care plans for patients
• Assesses dental needs and refer patients to dental specialists or medical providers as needed, using medical staff protocols for referral, follow-up, and quality assurance
• Provides comprehensive dental care, services, and preventive health education / techniques to patients in compliance with standard procedures
• Performs dental procedures and services that are within the approved sills profile and / or scope of practice
• Observes, assesses, and records patients’ symptoms, reactions, and treatments progress
• Prescribes medications and provides patients with pertinent medication instructions, as needed

Pay range : $77.55 to $124.08 per hour depending on experience, education and additional qualifications.

The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to : the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs.
