Title : MRI Technologist (MRI Tech)
Location : Easley, SC
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Mid Shift, 4x10-Hour (13 : 00 – 23 : 00)
Job Responsibilities :
Perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures for patients across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and ICU settings.Operate GE MRI scanners and ensure image accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established imaging protocols.Review physician orders and verify patient identity, safety, and contraindications before imaging (e.g., implants, metal, or pacemakers).Prepare and administer IV contrast media following safety standards and infection control procedures.Position patients properly and ensure comfort and safety during scans, using appropriate immobilization and communication techniques.Process and archive images using PACS and Epic EMR systems.Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care and diagnostic accuracy.Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment; report any malfunctions or safety concerns.Support emergency imaging needs and participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled.Required Skills & Experience :
Minimum 3 years of MRI technologist experience (will consider first-time travelers meeting this requirement).Proficiency with GE MRI systems and Epic EMR (1-year Epic experience required).Skilled in performing MRI scans of the abdomen, pelvis, spine, head / neck, musculoskeletal, and MR angiography (MRA / MRV) .Experienced in gradient echo , spin echo , multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) , and image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction).Ability to start peripheral IVs and administer contrast safely.Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient isolation precautions.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Education & Certifications :
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program .ARRT (R) – Required.ARRT (MR) – Preferred.BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required.About HonorVet Technologies
