The Travel Team Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling Emergency Medicine (EM) and Hospital Medicine (HM) clinicians across multiple facilities based on organizational needs. This role serves as a key liaison between clinicians, recruiting, credentialing, and operations to ensure efficient scheduling, accurate travel expense management, and a smooth onboarding process.
Essential Duties :
- Collect and manage monthly availability from travel team clinicians.
- Determine facility assignments and schedule clinicians to meet coverage needs while balancing clinician preferences and site requirements.
- Collaborate closely with recruiting, credentialing, and regional directors to plan provider start dates, assess facility needs, and determine assignments.
- Maintain and update the clinician roster, shift commitments, and scheduling records to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Approve and process clinician travel expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Monitor open shifts and proactively adjust schedules to maintain adequate site coverage.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for travel team scheduling questions and concerns.
- Work with facility leadership and schedulers to support orientation, shadowing, and integration of new travel team members.
- Assist with reporting and tracking related to scheduling, travel costs, and clinician utilization.

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.Experience :
Prior experience in medical staff scheduling, workforce coordination, or hospital operations strongly preferred.Prior operations or administrative experience in healthcare industry.Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience with MS Teams, scheduling software, and credentialing software preferred.
