Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Kidney Care | Nephrology | MaineHealth
Location : 1600 Congress St, Ste B, Portland, ME 04102
Schedule :
Part-Time (24 hours / week) | 3 consistent 8-hour shifts
Position Summary :
MaineHealth Nephrology is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Portland-based team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the PSR plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the daily operations of our busy nephrology practice.
Key Responsibilities :
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Answer phones, route calls, and take accurate messages
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Perform general office duties, including data entry, filing, and handling medical records
Ensure patient information is up to date and assist with check-in / check-out processes
Position Details :
Hours : 3 consistent 8-hour shifts per week (24 hours total)
Preferred hours : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (negotiable)
Operating Facility Hours : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Work Environment : On-site only (no remote flexibility)
Qualifications :
No prior experience required - we will train the right candidate!
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in administrative tasks
