Southern California Alcohol and Drug Program
Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community members seeking alternatives to prison for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing residential treatment services and outpatient counseling services to individuals throughout Los Angeles, as well as housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence. SCADP now offers services with a continuum of care to underserved and disadvantaged populations throughout the Los Angeles area.
PAY RATE : $44.88 - $47.25 Per Hour
JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Under the clinical supervision of the Regional Clinical Director and the operations supervision of the Program Manager, the Clinician will assess clients, provide survivor advocacy, and provide therapeutic counseling. The Clinician shall work in collaboration with key program staff to assist in meeting the overall needs of beneficiaries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform client screening, intake, orientation, and assessment functions necessary to complete admission to the residential program, and screen for any contributing factors (health or mental co-morbidities).
Provide survivor advocacy as set forth in the California Domestic Violence training requirements
Provides treatment planning at 30 day intervals following the initial assessment to measure change and guide continuing care or aftercare plans.Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence based practice protocols.Provide individual, group and family therapeutic counseling
Provides complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA.Respond to client crises and emergencies as neededAct as client advocate to agencies and persons when appropriate.Maintains the dignity and personal rights of all clients as highlighted by deploying clear and skilled crisis communication, evasion techniques when participants display hostile or volatile behaviors.Develops positive workplace relationships with staff and peers by participation in professional development events and offering appropriate support while maintaining a high level of professionalismParticipates in routine clinical supervision or consultation with Clinical Director

REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verificationsEDUCATION :
Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology (or related discipline) from an accredited graduate school.Current state license from California BBS (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC)[as needed : Competes California Domestic violence training (40 Hour class) within 90 days of hire]EXPERIENCE :
Experienced with moderate to severe mental health symptomsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Alcohol and Drug treatment experienceFamiliarity with Electronic Clinical Management SystemBilingual in English and SpanishStrong crisis management, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc.
