UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our well-established, high-performing cardiothoracic surgery team in Leesburg, Florida . This is a full-time, employed position with a reputable non-academic community hospital and part of the UF Health system.

Position Highlights

Hospital : UF Health Leesburg Hospital - 600 E Dixie Ave, Leesburg, FL

Practice Site : 705 Doctors Ct, Leesburg, FL 34748

Team Structure :

2 Cardiovascular Surgeons

4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Clinical Scope :

Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

Typically 1 outpatient clinic day per week for post-op and new patients

Inpatient support from APPs, critical care, and anesthesia

Hospital includes 351 beds and 3 CVORs

Call : Shared call schedule with APP support; must be able to respond within 30 minutes while on call

Candidate Requirements

MD or DO, Board-Certified / Board-Eligible in Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery

New graduates welcome to apply

Must meet hospital bylaws for call response time

No leadership or faculty responsibilities required
