Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily assignments and competencies of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions

• Provides day-to-day supervision and direction to staff. Including creating staff assignments, preparing schedules, and resolving escalated situations / questions.
• Responsible for recruiting, hiring, evaluating, training, and developing support staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary action.
• Subject matter expert in all competencies, policies, and procedures to provide the highest quality support for clinical providers.
• Oversees medication inventory, expirations, and ordering.
• Coordinates with colleagues to ensure availability of supplies, instruments, and scopes.
• Assists with or conducts 1 : 1s and staff meetings.
• Serves as clinical backup as needed.

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Trade / Technical / Vocational Diploma Medical Assisting required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Various - Required Experience Clinic / practice experience 2-3 years required and Experience in a supervisory or leadership role 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Team leadership skills. - Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - Effective interpersonal and communication skills. - Strong understanding of medical terminology.
