Are You This Machinist?

  • Can you read a blueprint and move straight to a clean, reliable setup?
  • Do you trust your micrometers, calipers, and instincts to hold tight tolerances?
  • Are you the go-to person when a stamping die needs a fast, lasting fix?

If yes, our precision shop in Elk Grove Village wants to meet you.

What You’ll Own

  • Manual milling and grinding setups and operation for tool and die builds and maintenance.
  • Blueprint, drawing, and setup sheet interpretation to plan work sequences.
  • In-process and final inspections using precision instruments.
  • Root-cause troubleshooting and repair of tooling to protect quality and uptime.
  • Continuous improvement collaboration with engineers and shop leadership.
  • Adherence to safety, 5S, and documentation standards.

    • What You Bring

  • 3+ years of Tool and Die Maker experience.
  • Proficiency with manual mills and grinders, including independent setups.
  • Strong blueprint literacy and technical drawing comprehension.
  • Solid measurement / inspection capability and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ownership over quality.

    • Nice to Have

  • Tool / die design exposure; CAD / CAM familiarity.
  • Experience with metal stamping, forming, or die repair.
  • Familiarity with ISO or AS9100D quality frameworks.
  • CNC milling background in addition to manual machining.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish).

    • Tools You’ll Run

  • CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) : Fanuc, Bridgeport, Mazak, Haas
  • Manual Grinder : Okamoto, Harig, Chevalier, Kent
  • Manual Vertical Mill : Bridgeport, ProtoTRAK, Sharp, Clausing, Supermax
