Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with at least 2 years of experience for an inpatient and outpatient rehab position in an acute care hospital.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in an acute care hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient rehab responsibilities
  • SLP works with a diverse patient population
  • Day shifts are 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, five days per week
  • One weekend day per week is required
  • Epic is used for charting and EMR documentation experience is required
  • Candidates are required to float between like units within the hospital and may float to affiliated nearby facilities
  • New graduates may be considered only if Clinical Fellowship Year is completed and SLP-CCC is obtained
  • Return staff must wait at least three months before returning as a traveler
  • Travelers are expected to float to sister facilities as needed
  • Minimal requested time off (RTO) will be considered if included at time of application
  • Willingness to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year) is required
  • Locals are accepted according to the facility policy, with a 50-mile radius rule applied
  • Free parking is available on site
  • Orientation and mandatory modules must be completed prior to start

  • Current SLP-CCC credential is required
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a comparable setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid California SLP license is required for consideration
  • Pending licenses are not accepted
  • References from at least two supervisors covering one year of recent relevant employment are required
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
  • License required if applicable
