PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Prepares menus and modifies patient selections in accordance with prescribed diet orders, utilizing input from the Registered Dietitian and patient preferences.
Assembles meal trays for patients.
Performs dishwashing, sanitation, and general kitchen clean-up duties.
Follows Three Rivers Health’s Compliance Program and reports any compliance variances to a supervisor, Compliance Officer, or through the Compliance Hotline.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate agrees to comply with the following :
Attends and participates in departmental meetings and is responsible for understanding shared information.
Completes all required education, including annual competencies and department-specific training, within designated timeframes.
Meets annual employee health requirements as scheduled.
Maintains all relevant licenses, certifications, and registrations in good standing throughout the fiscal year.
Direct patient care providers must maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other required certifications.
Consistently practices universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment and ergonomic techniques for the safety of both patients and self.
Adheres to all regulatory agency standards and compliance expectations.
Follows all organization and department policies.
Willing and available to work overtime and alternate shifts or schedules as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be at least 17 years of age
One (1) year of experience in a cafeteria or food service setting preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequently exposed to heat and humidity in a kitchen environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift light to medium-weight objects
Requires prolonged periods of standing
