Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) About the Role

We’re seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient neuro rehabilitation team in Rockland, Maine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals restore independence and improve quality of life through therapeutic activities and functional skill development.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Key Responsibilities

Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized therapy plans focused on functional, vocational, and educational goals.

Support patients with neurological conditions through exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to promote independence.

Conduct community reintegration activities to support patient progress outside the clinic setting.

Collaborate in group sessions and co-treatment environments to deliver comprehensive care.

Document progress and communicate updates to the treatment team, clinical coordinator, and physicians.

Fabricate or adapt assistive devices to meet patient needs.
