Description
Key Responsibilities
• Inspection and Testing: Conducts inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished electronic products to identify any deviations from specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Creates and maintains detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, and escalating any issues or deviations to the quality lead or engineers.
• Defect Identification: Identifies and segregates defective components or products to prevent non-compliant items from progressing through the manufacturing process.
• Technical Documentation Review: Reads and interprets electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents to understand specifications and quality requirements.
• Equipment Calibration: Ensures that testing and inspection equipment are properly calibrated according to industry standards and requirements.
• Corrective Actions: Assists engineers and managers in identifying root causes of defects and implementing corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Process Monitoring: Monitors production processes to ensure consistency and compliance with quality control procedures.
• Workspace Maintenance: Maintains a clean, organized, and hygienic work area for quality testing and inspections.
Key Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering tools.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronic principles, components, and systems, including ability to read schematics and technical documents.
• Detail-Oriented: Requires a high level of attention to detail to accurately identify flaws and deviations.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze issues and contribute to solutions for quality-related problems.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Dexterity: Physical dexterity is beneficial for sorting items and handling electronic components.
• Education: An Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience, is often required.
