About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 1 year required, preference for 2 years in Med / Surg

License : Michigan RN License (pending license acceptable, ETA required)

Certifications : BLS (AHA) (pending acceptable, confirmation required)

Must-Have :

Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs).

Must float to other Medical Surgical units as needed.

Must work every other weekend.

No holiday requests; dates may be discussed with manager to determine possible accommodation.

Description :

This position requires working in a unit caring for a diverse range of patients.

Care includes general medical diagnoses as well as specialized surgical patients.

Surgical specialties include gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries.

The staffing ratio for nights is 1 : 5-6, with a possibility of flexing to 8 patients, supported by an LPN.

Floating to other Medical Surgical units will occur depending on unit needs, roughly once per week.

Team collaboration is essential, involving interaction with various healthcare professionals.

This unit sees a mix of medical patients, including those undergoing orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, and surgical procedures.

Daily patient care challenges provide a supportive and engaging work environment.
