Job description

Optomi, in partnership with a leading organization in the entertainment industry, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the modernization of a portfolio of eight enterprise-level applications critical to internal business operations. This role centers on driving product strategy, execution, modernization, and delivery across large-scale technical systems.

You will be responsible for managing finances, defining and maintaining roadmaps, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality enhancements efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proven ability to operate independently in a complex, fast-paced environment.

This is a collaborative role that interfaces closely with engineering, design, operations, and other product managers, with significant ownership and influence over product direction.

Responsibilities of the right candidate :

Modernization Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the full modernization initiative for a suite of eight enterprise applications, including long-term strategic planning, budget oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Define and execute product strategy aligned with business goals, technical constraints, and modernization objectives.
  • Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management : discovery, requirements definition, roadmap planning, prioritization, execution, release, and ongoing optimization.

Project & Execution Management

  • Oversee day-to-day project execution to ensure engineering teams remain unblocked and productive.
  • Design, track, and maintain story points, sprint goals, acceptance criteria, and engineering deliverables.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, validate needs, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage multiple parallel workstreams with rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-moving technical environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, design, operations, business stakeholders, and other product managers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Partner directly with the hiring manager and peer PMs for roadmap alignment, dependency management, and technical planning.
  • Facilitate productive meetings, drive consensus, and mediate conflicting priorities across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Technical & Analytical Responsibilities

  • Apply strong technical understanding—web platforms, databases, cloud technologies—to guide engineering decisions and evaluate proposed solutions.
  • Analyze complex data, metrics, and system behaviors to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to organizational standards, security requirements, compliance expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Communicate highly complex technical content to executive leadership, engineering teams, and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Prepare and present updates, documentation, roadmaps, and case study materials as needed.
  • Represent product decisions with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and urgency.
  • Qualifications of the right candidate :

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with proven ownership of large-scale, complex, technical products.
  • Demonstrated success leading technical teams and managing enterprise-level software platforms.
  • Strong ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data to solve unique and ambiguous product challenges.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical content clearly across technical, non-technical, external, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail with exceptional organization and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision—a self-starter who takes initiative and drives outcomes independently.
  • STEM bachelor’s degree (required due to the highly technical nature of the environment).
  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications :

  • Experience with custom-developed enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of modern software design patterns, principles, and engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern product development processes.
  • Exposure to modern development frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, .NET, and PHP.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Experience building applications with strong security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track record of delivering highly available, scalable, N-tier enterprise solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies including Scrum, Waterfall, XP, etc.
