ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Fairbanks, Alaska (99701) – Alaska healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Emergency Room (ER)

Start Date : November 30, 2025

End Date : March 22, 2026

Duration : 16-week contract

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (mid and night shifts : 9am-9 : 30pm, 11am-11 : 30pm, 12pm-12 : 30am, 2pm-2 : 30am, 6 : 45pm-7 : 15am, 5pm-5am)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200 - $2360

Free 1-bedroom housing provided (pet units not available)

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a staff Registered Nurse in a Level 1-3 trauma center

Active Alaska RN license required at time of application

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (active or scheduled at time of submittal)

ENPC certification preferred

Ability to float to other units as needed

Availability to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule period

On-call : 1-2 shifts per 4-week schedule in addition to regular weekly shifts

Holiday coverage required (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)

Permanent address must be at least 50 miles outside of Fairbanks, Alaska

Two completed references required (at least one from a supervisor within the past year preferred)

ER RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting

Assess, triage, and manage patients with acute and emergent medical conditions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document all patient care activities in a timely manner

Float to other hospital units as needed to support clinical operations

Participate in on-call and holiday coverage as scheduled
