Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Peoria, Illinois 61637 Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Adult Medical / Surgical Specialty Unit Nursing Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM), 3 shifts / week Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Rotation : Required Charting System : EPIC Scrub Color : Any professional color (visible tattoos / piercings limited to ears) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,990 - $2,130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license or proof of application in progress BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg nursing experience Proficient in central line, tracheostomy, and chest tube management EPIC charting experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred; Level I Trauma Center and EPIC proficiency highly valued Ability to pass comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with acute medical conditions (cellulitis, sepsis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, syncope, anemia, diabetes, respiratory failure, liver / kidney failure, behavioral health / addictions) Manage central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including charge RNs and patient care techs Monitor and administer set-rate drips (Heparin, Lasix); no titration required Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and documentation Float to other acute care units (nephrology, neuro, ortho, oncology) as needed Participate in self-scheduling and block scheduling options Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code policies Apply now to join our healthcare team and explore rewarding travel nursing jobs in Peoria, Illinois!
