Elementary Special Education Teacher (LTS) Anticipated

Alden Elementary School is seeking a highly qualified certified Special Education Teacher (LTS) - Anticipated. The exact length of the assignment is yet to be determined.

Requirements :

• Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement : Teachers of Students with Severe Disabilities (All)
• Experience with IEP development and data collection
• Management skills that support students social emotional learning
• Classroom management skills that support students access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction
• Provide direct instruction in the co-teach environment with modifications
• Provide direct instruction in the core content areas
• Familiarity with MA Curriculum Frameworks Access and Entry Points
• Complete MCAS Alternative Assessment Portfolios as necessary
• Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices
• Develop and implement student success plans as necessary
• Support skill development for Activities of Daily Living as necessary
• Citizenship residency or work visa required
