Civil Engineer

VN Engineers, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Civil Engineer to be part of our growing Design Team! Responsibilities will include providing design services for major CTDOT and MassDOT projects, including both traditional and new innovative design build construction. Types of projects range from massive interchange reconstruction and bridge replacement to new progressive rail improvement programs.

Key responsibilities will include :

• Designing infrastructure projects using MicroStation, OpenRoads and or AutoCAD software
• Developing construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Ensuring work is completed within budget and on time
• Coordinating with other professionals
• Ensuring all applicable regulations and standards are followed

Qualifications :

B.S. in Civil Engineering

2+ Years of experience

Excellent technical and analytical skills

Good technical writer

Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Good communication and leadership skills

Knowledgeable of Federal, State and Local design standards

Experience in either the production of rail, civil / site design or highway design plans is a plus!
