• Ability to Read Strips

Description :

Step down RN position with night shifts.

Typically a 1 : 4 patient ratio; 1 : 5 ratio in emergencies.

No drips and operates in a lower acuity step down unit.

The contract length is for 13 weeks with a possible extension.

Shifts are weekdays with every other weekend required.

Certifications required are BCLS and ACLS.

Skills required include IV start and telemetry.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

The patient population primarily consists of cardiac patients.

Patients may have undergone cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology procedures.

The unit also accommodates other medical / surgical and general medical patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

This unit has a daily census of approximately 34 patients with 36 beds available.

Candidates must have permanent addresses greater than 100 miles from the facility to apply.
