Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
License: ND state license, or willingness to apply for it within 72 hours of acceptance of offer
Certifications: BLS - AHA, RRT - NBRC certification

Must-Have:
Min 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
Level 1 trauma and ICU experience
Strong background in working with emergency room patients
Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds
Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment

Description:
The scope of work for a Respiratory Therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications.
Respiratory therapists assess individuals to prevent, detect, monitor, and manage disease and complications.
They provide therapeutic interventions to directly impact cardiopulmonary health as well as overall health status according to established goals and interdisciplinary care plans.
Respiratory therapists provide education to promote preventative care, self-management, enhanced cardiopulmonary health, and quality of life.
They perform regular assessments of patients and the equipment they are using to adjust therapy.
Respiratory therapists collect and analyze patients' blood and other specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
They measure lung capacity to determine any impairments.
They offer diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on the analysis of the patient.

Candidates should be interested in an RT role that can work in various areas or specialized in NICU, PICU, or adult ICU.
All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility.
The ability to handle quick changes in patient condition is essential.
A willingness to help coworkers and ask for help when needed is important.
Strong communication skills are valuable as respiratory therapists will be in constant communication with the healthcare team.
Rotation includes every other weekend and holidays with 8 and 12-hour shifts.
Opportunity to pick up extra shifts may be available.
Inpatient respiratory therapy care may require floating to other locations as needed.
Preferred certifications include ACLS - AHA and PALS - AHA.
Applicants should have experience in a high-acuity environment.
