Job Description

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) identifies, qualifies, and develops new dental office partnerships aligned with OFFOR Health’s SmileMD mission and Ideal Partner Framework. This role focuses on finding and engaging dental practices that treat pediatric Medicaid patients and could benefit from office-based anesthesia services.

The SDR conducts outreach, builds relationships with decision-makers (owners, office managers, and pediatric specialists), and qualifies opportunities for onboarding by the Partner Success Manager (PSM) team. This position combines business development, relationship management, and healthcare advocacy—helping practices understand how SmileMD can make care easier, safer, and more accessible.

While based in Central Florida (Tampa or Orlando) to support regional growth and travel efficiency, this role also contributes to SmileMD’s multi-state expansion across current and emerging markets, including the Carolinas and new territories.

Travel : 50% minimum (regional and out of state travel required)

Identify & Qualify Dental Partners

  • Research and target dental offices that serve pediatric Medicaid patients within assigned regions.
  • Qualify practices based on SmileMD’s Ideal Partner Framework — focusing on clinical fit, operational readiness, and mission alignment.
  • Leverage Medicaid directories, DSO networks, association lists, and referrals to build a qualified partner pipeline.

Outreach & Relationship Development

  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits to introduce SmileMD’s model.
  • Communicate the value proposition effectively to office leaders, emphasizing benefits such as reduced hospital wait times, cost savings to payors, and improved patient experience.
  • Present SmileMD’s model with professionalism and empathy, tailoring the conversation to the needs of each office.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain detailed documentation of all activities, leads, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Track conversion metrics from contact to qualification to onboarding.
  • Collaborate closely with Partner Success Managers (PSMs) to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified partners.
  • Collaboration & Market Growth

  • Work with marketing and operations to align on outreach strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide feedback on emerging trends, objections, and market dynamics to inform strategic growth decisions.
  • Support new market launches and partner engagement events as needed.
  • Required Skills Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum Experience : Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in dental office management, DSO operations, or healthcare sales / business development. Experience working directly with Medicaid-focused or pediatric practices strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) required due to patient and provider demographics.
  • Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum Experience : Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in dental office management, DSO operations, or healthcare sales / business development. Experience working directly with Medicaid-focused or pediatric practices strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) required due to patient and provider demographics.
  • Network Requirements

    High-speed internet with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and a minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps
