Senior Director, Quality Management System (QMS)

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Quality Management System (QMS) Senior Director located in Arlington, VA.

General Description :

The QMS Sr. Director reports to the SVP of Quality, and is responsible for developing, implementing, and governing the company's Quality Management System across all Venture Global locations and activities, including engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, production, operations, and pipeline activities. This leader ensures compliance with industry standards (e.g. API, ISO 9001, FERC, etc.), drives continuous improvement, mitigates operational risks, and promotes a culture of quality excellence across global assets. The QMS Leader is responsible for working with other Supervisors, Managers and Directors across all Venture Global business departments.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the enterprise QMS strategy aligned with corporate quality, HSSE, reliability, and operational goals.
  • Lead global QMS governance for upstream, midstream, downstream, and project organizations.
  • Advise executive leadership on quality risks, trends, and performance improvement opportunities.

Quality Management System Oversight :

  • Own and maintain the corporate QMS framework, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with API, ISO 9001, FERC, ASME, NACE, and other applicable Oil & Gas regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Oversee document control, management of change (MoC), deviation control, and QMS digital platforms.
  • Operational Quality Assurance :

  • Drive quality integration into Procurement, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational processes.
  • Ensure robust supplier qualification, inspection & test planning (ITP), and vendor surveillance programs.
  • Audit & Compliance :

  • Develop and execute internal and external audit programsincluding facility, vendor, and project audits.
  • Maintain certification and audit readiness for ISO, API, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee corrective / preventive actions and monitor closure effectiveness.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement :

  • Establish KPIs and dashboards for quality performance, NCR trends, defect metrics, supplier performance, and operational integrity.
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across the value chain.
  • Promote a culture of operational discipline and right-first-time execution.
  • Culture :

  • Drive a Zero-Defect mindset, where quality is owned by everyone.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the Tenets of Quality into all processes.
  • Create and conduct audits to ascertain the maturity of the quality culture, and to identify and action any opportunities to further improve the quality culture.
  • Leadership & Collaboration :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop global quality and QMS teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Operations, HSSE, Risk, and Project Management to embed quality principles across the organization.
  • Represent the company during customer quality reviews, audits, and regulatory interactions.
  • Qualifications :

    Education and Certifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 / API Q1 / Q2).
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification preferred.
  • Experience :

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Quality or QMS roles within the Oil & Gas industry (E&P, EPC, fabrication, drilling, or equipment manufacturing).
  • Demonstrated leadership in implementing global QMS frameworks.
  • Strong experience with engineering quality, supplier quality, and audit management.
  • Proven track record managing quality in complex, high-risk environments (offshore, large capital projects, or refinery operations a plus).
  • Skills :

  • Expert knowledge of API / ISO standards and Oil & Gas regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
