Staff Accountant

Summary :
This position supports the business in the delivery of accurate, consistent, and timely financial statements and analytical reports. This position, supporting the finance team, requires some supervision with the ability to work independently, proactively improving the finance capabilities of the organization.
Essential Functions :
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support billing and contract management activities through oversight activities, review of client contracts, and the systematic setup of billing terms
- Perform accounts payable functions, including but not limited to vouchering of invoices, overseeing invoice workflow approvals, maintaining vendor coding matrix, and vendor setup requests
- Perform cash application of electronic and lockbox payments
- Assist with special projects, including ad-hoc reporting requests from individuals at various levels within the organization
- Assists in the annual financial audit process
- Actively participate in department work planning and goal setting
