Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Rapid City, SD (zip 57701) – South Dakota healthcare jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Facility Type : Acute Care Surgical Hospital

Unit : Operating Room (OR) – Circulating Nurse

Shift : 10-hour day shifts with on-call rotation

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,420 - $2,600

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : March 9, 2026

Scrubs : Provided (Ceil Blue)

Charting System : EPIC EMR

Facility Details : 11 OR suites, 1 GI suite; 30-50 surgical cases per day

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active SD or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 3 years of recent experience as an OR Circulating RN

Strong orthopedic surgery experience required (total joints, arthroscopy)

Robotics experience highly preferred (MAKO robot proficiency)

Experience with spine, foot and ankle, hand, and ORIF procedures

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)

Experience with general, ENT, GYN, and plastics surgical cases is a plus

Must comply with facility badging and timekeeping procedures

OR Nurse Responsibilities

Circulate in the Operating Room for orthopedic procedures, including total joints (MAKO), arthroscopy, spine, foot and ankle, hand, and ORIF surgeries

Assist with general, ENT, GYN, and plastics cases as needed

Operate advanced surgical technology, including the MAKO robotic system

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes

Adhere to hospital protocols, including dress code and security badging
